If ever a post deserved the heading “winner winner, chicken dinner!” it was this one! A huge congratulations to our West Eaton team for winning Care Establishment of the year at The National Association of Care Catering Awards 2023.
The award was presented at a fabulous gala dinner ceremony in Nottingham last night. There was tough competition as all the nominees were very commendable homes. The judges could see the high standard of our food, with meals cooked from first principles incorporating home grown produce. But it was our high level of resident involvement which set our home apart: How we recognise the importance of food in recalling and making memories and encourage a sense of purpose, pride and self-worth.
We are thrilled to have received this Award. The team celebrated well into the night and have come home today with their trophies to celebrate with the rest of the team and all our residents. A celebratory chicken dinner perhaps for tea tonight!
