We kicked off Christmas with our last big fundraiser of the year, supported by our local community and The Claus’s! This was our Christmas Craft and Bake Sale on Saturday 2nd December. Residents had been sewing, knitting, planting, making jams and chutneys, all in readiness for the day. To add to the festivities, our Christmas Conservatory was open with Santa Claus and Mrs Claus in residence for the afternoon!
We are delighted to say that we raised over £500. Added to our fundraising pot we have now reached our target for the year for The Guide Dogs! We can support a puppy through training, called Lorne.
The fantastic students from The Kings School Worcester joined us to sing carols. They gave each resident a gift and brought with them bucks fizz and superb home made mince pies. These great students have been visiting weekly since September. They have forged great friendships and brought lots of laughter and love. We also had a Christmas visit from the children of Kempsey Primary School sharing their projects and interviewing residents.
Mrs Claus has put together a super special Christmas
At our ho ho home, Mrs Claus is our fabulous Lifestyle and Wellbeing Lead, Joy Hoskins. Together with her team and residents, they have put together a huge array of events over the festive period.

We are having an early New Year’s Eve celebration on Friday 29th December for residents’ and our staffing team’s families and friends. We have a piper coming to pipe in the haggis for a Hogmanay dinner with neaps and tatties and a tot or two of whisky!
Thank you to all our fabulous volunteers, who help us run events, accompany residents on trips and are such good friends to our residents. Your support and kindness are invaluable – you are most certainly on Santa’s Good List!
