We don’t need much of an excuse for some party time here! But this Spring we have enjoyed lots of events and celebrations.
Party time with outside entertainment
We had a visit from the fabulous JDR. Residents were dancing away. We love live music and it never fails to put a smile on everyone’s faces.
A massive thank you to Corinne Frost for beautifully playing the cello and guitar to accompany our Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea.
For International Happiness Day Huw of Huw’s Hour brought us his magnificent music set. There was lots of dancing and singing.
Other celebration events
For Nutrition and Hydration week we made fruit kebabs, tried herbal teas and highlighted the importance of hydration for the elderly.
We enjoyed St Patrick’s Day celebrations. There was Guinness and some very funny fancy dress. Lots of reminiscence and sharing old Irish folk tales.
It’s pawty time! We celebrated Skye, our therapy dog’s, first birthday with cake and cuddly friends. Skye enjoyed opening her presents and spending time with all her friends (both human and canine!)
We wished Martha and Gerald a very happy 67th wedding anniversary. They celebrated with Prosecco, flowers and a romantic meal for two.
Our team challenge
Team Summerdyne are taking on the Snowdon Sunrise challenge for National Activity Providers Association’s Living The Dream fund! Paula, Sam and Rachel are raising money to make a difference and need your help!
