Thank you to everyone who supported our Christmas Fayre Fundraiser. Residents worked so hard crafting gifts to sell, making pots of jam and bags of goodies, baking cakes for the cake stall and arranging the raffle and tombola. The fabulous sleigh wheelchair they created was a huge hit!
Christmas was magical at The Lawns. We decked the halls early December and had lots of naughty elves about the place, up to all sorts of mischief, including instigating an indoor snowball fight - such a fun way to get some exercise! Even The Grinch put in an appearance! There was musical entertainment from Samantha and then Graham at our Christmas Party. We held a Candlelit Memorial Service with our local Church, remembering those no longer with us, but still in our hearts.
There were all the traditions for Christmas week, including a Christmas Eve Quiz and the biggest turkey with all the trimmings for Christmas Day lunch, after everyone had opened their stockings. Thank you to all of our team for going the extra mile to make Christmas so special for our residents.
We had a wonderful visit from the Kempsey Primary School children, who shared stories with residents, chatted about Harry Potter and together did some Christmas crafting. Thank you also to the student from The Kings School, Worcester who braved the November snow to visit and visited again in December for carol singing and to give gifts to residents.
We welcomed in 2025 with a New Year's Eve afternoon party for residents and teams, families and friends. Simon the Piper piped in the haggis for our Hogmanay dinner with neaps and tatties and a tot or two of whisky! https://www.facebook.com/TheLawnsOfficial/videos/1279139376570048
So what's in store for 2025? A resounding, more of the same please!
